
Trap Wave is a small team of friends that hosts party-related events emphasising on the new wave of hip-hop music known as ‘trap’.
Essentially introducing this genre of nightlife to the city.
The organisation strives to create a community through encouranging the urban youth within the streets of Groningen to embrace it’s way of living.
Therefore - “Embracing the culture“.
Electrical waves representing energy is the core symbolism behind 'Trap Wave'. To illustrate that I created a logomark that morphs its initals in a lighting form.
Apart from that, I have also designed a wordmark and promotional materials including: posters, flyers, stickers, banners, badges and merchandise.
In the span of two years 'Trap Wave' has hosted six events in various clubs across Groningen. Every promotional campaign run would feature a poster identity with multiple acompanying graphics for print and social media.
What's more, in adition to the concept of each event a 3D teaser animation would be created as well as acompanying motion graphics for social media posts.
The examples provided here were used for promoting Trap Wave's fourth event and are a result from the colaboration between me and founder Konstantin Sonev.
